Warriors win on late surge

With Just over five minutes remaining a Three Pointer by Atlanta Metro pushed the lead to 7 at 50-43. The Warriors then went on a 17-2 run for the rest of the game to pull out a 60-52 over the Trailblazers. “ It was a amazing run.” States Head Coach Scott Moe. “We played the best defense of the year, and Shane Heyward made some big plays on offense down the stretch.” Moe goes on to say. The win moves the 20th ranked Warriors to 13-3 on the season and 4-3 in GCAA conference play. Shane Heyward lead the Warriors with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Deangelo Johnson added 11 points. Joey Harris grabbed 9 rebounds, while Earl Lawrence dished out 10 assists to only 2 turnovers.
Warriors hit the road to face Georgia Perimeter on Wednesday 1/23 in Decatur. Tip-off is at 7:30pm
