Warriors edge by Titans
Albany, GA -
The Middle Georgia State College men pulled out a 51-45 victory over the Albany Technical College Titans on Saturday 2/9 on the campus of Albany State University. After only scoring 15 points in the first half the Warriors rallied late to score 36 in the second half and pull out the 6 point win. Head Coach Scott Moe was pleased to get a conference win on the road. “ You never complain about winning on the road, but it was not one of our best efforts.” The Warriors were lead in scoring by Shane Heyward with 12 points while Cortez Riley added 11 and Deangelo Johnson added 10 points. Joey Harris grabbed 13 rebounds, Shane Heyward had 4 blocks.
The Warriors move to 16-6 on the year and 7-6 in the conference.
Georgia Perimeter travels to Cochran on Monday 2/11. Tip-off is at 7:30pm in the Morris Gym.
