Georgia Military Captures Golf Championship; Dye Earns Low Medalist
Warner Robbins, GA — Georgia Military College (GMC) men's golf team captured the GCAA Championship Monday at Southern Landings Golf Club. The Bulldogs won the 36-hole multi divisional tournament by 24 strokes (625) over Andrew College, with Tripp Dye capturing the low medalist with a 78/74 two round 152 total. Andrew carried a two round total of 649. Oxford-Emory finished third at 689.
Dye(152), Levi Gregg(155) Brady Wentz(157) of GMC, Albin Nirup(153) of Andrew, Nam Nam Nai (155) of Oxford-Emory were named to the GCAA All Region team as the top five finalists. GMC's Coach Kirk Kayden was selected as Coach of the Year.
GMC advances to the NJCAA DIII National tournament at the Chautauqua (NY) on June 2-6.
