Lady Knights come up short
The West Georgia Tech women dropped a close affair to Denmark Tech, 68-60. WGTC is now 2-9 overall on the season.
Three players scored in double-figures for WGTC, led by Victoria Conner (Paulding County) with 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
Sha’Ron Forte added 13 points for the Golden Knights. Ta’Corria Mann had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The Golden Knights trailed by just one at the half, 33-32, but couldn’t overcome a sluggish second half.
Both squads will return to action Friday night as they travel to Chattahoochee Tech. The women’s game will tip at 5:30 pm with the men to follow at 7:30 pm.
The WGTC women will play their third game in as many days on Saturday when they host Southern Union at Oak Mountain Academy in Carrollton at 4 pm.
